Past-President
Amanda Jones, MA, BCBA
Amanda is the current clinical director at the Bloomington location at LittleStarABA Therapy. During her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children camping and going to sporting events.

President
Lauryn M. Toby, Ph.D., BCBA, HSPP
Dr. Toby is a licensed clinical psychologist and BCBA. She is the current Program Director for Behavioral Health at the Family Medicine Residency Clinic through Indiana University Health's Ball Memorial Hospital. Dr. Toby is passionate about improving the training of behavior analysts in the state of Indiana, particularly when it comes to interdisciplinary collaboration. She enjoys challenging the status quo, and believes that the field of behavior analysis would benefit from returning to its psychological roots when it comes to therapeutic alliance, trauma-informed care, and cultural responsiveness. She recently published her first book, Psychology Essentials for Behavior Analysts.

Vice-President
Heather Tomes, MS, BCBA
Heather began her work in the field of ABA in 2007 as a 1:1 aid for a child with autism in a private school setting. For the next 9 years, while earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bellarmine University (2010) and then her Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Spalding University (2013), she worked as an independent contractor providing behavior and community support services to families in their homes and in the community, a paraprofessional at the Bluegrass Center for Autism in Louisville, KY, and as a Behavior Support Specialist and BCBA (certificate earned in 2014) for Verbal Behavior Consulting in Lexington, KY. She has almost 7 years of experience as a Clinical Director and Director of Clinical Services for two clinic-based ABA therapy companies in the states of Indiana and Kentucky. Additionally, she earned my Organizational Behavior Management Specialist certificate from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2021.

Secretary
Brittany Hughes, MS, BCBA
Brittany Hughes is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a stay at home mom to her 5 year old and 2 year old sons. Prior to the birth of her sons, Brittany worked as a BCBA in an outpatient clinic for close to 5 years where she provided individualized behavior consultation to families and individuals as well as supervise BCBA exam candidates. She has served as a member of the HABA Executive Board for 3 years.

Treasurer
Libby Myers, MA BCBA
Libby Myers is a BCBA and licensed special education teacher. She currently practices with Grateful Care ABA, providing services across home, school, and community settings for individuals of all ages. Libby is deeply passionate about the field of behavior analysis and is committed to fostering collaboration across disciplines while promoting neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed practices. In addition to her role with HABA, she contributes to the profession as a Subject Matter Expert for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Member At Large
Juliana Aguilar, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Juliana Aguilar is a doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) dedicated to advancing the science and practice of behavior analysis across Indiana. Dr. Aguilar joined the Hoosier ABA community in 2022, as a Clinical Assistant Professor in ABA at Purdue University. It has been her mission to grow sustainable partnerships between community ABA programs, schools, and university-based programs. In this mission she hopes to create strong ties between graduate level education programs and clinical supervised experiences received by future behavior analysts. Juliana is passionate about mentoring the next generation of behavior analysts and actively encourages student involvement in state-level initiatives. She believes that fostering early professional engagement is key to the long-term vitality of ABA in Indiana.

Conference Chair
Karyssa Patrick, MA, BCBA
Karyssa Patrick, MA, BCBA has extensive experience in the field of applied behavior analysis and autism therapy. She started by working as a direct support professional providing respite care during her undergrad. Prior to starting her graduate program, she became a behavior technician at Cornerstone Autism Center, and now she is an Assessment BCBA at LittleStar ABA Therapy. She has a multifaceted role of conducting initial assessments for new patients, managing a caseload, and facilitating social skills groups for children, teens, and adults, and Sibshops.

DEI Chair
Jacob Arrington, MA, BCBA
Jacob graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Human Development. While there, he mentored teens in the juvenile justice system and helped them transition back into their communities. A few of those teens were on the autism spectrum, and working with them sparked his passion for supporting individuals with autism.That experience led him to Ball State University, where he earned his master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis. He has been in the field for about six and a half years, and his work is driven by a commitment to being neuro-affirming, inclusive, and helping every person feel understood and empowered to grow in their own way.

Public Policy Chair
Amber Badgett, MA, BCBA
Amber Badgett is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and the Chief Executive Officer of Meaningful Day Services, a multi-site, CARF-accredited provider of disability services across Indiana. With over fifteen years of experience in behavioral health leadership, Amber has advanced through roles as a BCBA, Director of ABA Services, Chief Operating Officer, and now CEO, leading teams of more than 150 employees serving over 2,000 individuals statewide. Her leadership is marked by organizational turnarounds, workforce development, and statewide policy advocacy protecting access to care for individuals with disabilities.Amber’s history with HABA spans nearly a decade of board service, including roles as Vice President (2016–2018), President (2018–2020), and Past President (2020–2022). During her tenure, she guided HABA through major structural and financial transitions, spearheaded the Hoosier Happy Hour CE series, advancing licensure, and helped restore solvency during the COVID crisis.
